Fourth Of July is pretty simple for us. There’s typically a neighborhood parade (that we’ve only recently started participating in since Harper arrived….) and the pool. Then a delicious bbq dinner, s’mores, and fireworks. Nothing fancy. Nothing too wild. Given that, I typically like our attire to match the day. Laid back and carefree. So, when I stumbled across this little red dress, and chambray number for little miss, I knew they would be the perfect choices for the festivities. They can easily work for the parade…. and are such simple throw on and go dresses that they transition perfectly for an evening bbq. Just add a lightweight denim jacket and you’re ready to go. Of course, I like my pieces to be versatile, so the dress works for pretty much any casual daytime affair (don’t recommend for anything dressy though…). Toss it on over a suit to head to the beach, or with slides and basic gold accessories for a lunch with friends…. or with a denim jacket and sneakers for a day of errands. A piece that can take you way beyond the fireworks, popsicles, and s’mores of The 4th is just what I like…..

Annnnd, in case you’re looking for some more 4th of July inspo, I have a few favorites. This red and white stripe sweatshirt looks so cozy, and would pair perfectly with denim cut-offs. This crochet tank has a subtle red and blue festive to it, and if you’re all about comfort these sweatpants are right up your ally…. as is this star print lace up hoodie. For the little lady, I love this graphic tee (snagged it for little miss too), and this star hoodie…. and this front knot tank is adorable too. For the little guys, these stripe shorts are seriously tooooo cute, as is this graphic tee and adorable button up.
