Confession: Before Harper was born, I went a little crazy on clothing. Not for me. For her. I mean, everything just seemed so much cuter in a mini version….. anyway… that’s how I justify all the items that I purchased. What I can’t justify is that she never wore a single item that I bought…. you see, I followed the advice of so many and bought clothing items in 6-12 month sizes, pulled off the tags, washed them…. thinking she would be a big baby….
So, when she arrived, all 6 lbs 8oz of her, those clothes didn’t stand a chance…. and as I cleaned out her drawers this past September I bagged up those unworn items, reluctantly. There were so many cute winter outfits that I envisioned Harper wearing in those early months…. adorable ponchos, mini chunky knits, patterned leggings…. brand new, packed away. Given that, I guess you could say that I couldn’t wait for this cold weather season when it arrived…. a redemption if you will. While doing some Christmas shopping at Nordstrom, I couldn’t help put stop by an peruse the kid’s department (they always have the cutest items). My eyes immediately landed on this fair isle sweater dress + beanie combo for little miss… I was sold at first sight (so was little miss…. I mean, she practically grabbed the beanie out of my hand…)…
And, now that she is walking, I’ve been on the hunt for the best shoe option. I’ve always been a huge fan of the Freshly Picked brand, so I was thrilled when I realized they were incredibly easy for Harper to maneuver in… light weight, pliable, and comfortable. Paired with tights, and they easily transition into the colder winter months…. I guess that’s why you can say she has a nice little collection of them….
A few other cold weather items I have my eye on for little miss include this polka dot fuzzy dress, snowflake print sweatshirt dress, sweater knit leggings, and this adorable blush graphic sweater. And since I have some little guys to buy for this holiday season, I am loving this soft cotton hooded zip up, print jogger pants, blue tie dye romper, and this toggle cardigan.
