This past weekend, TJ headed out of town on Saturday for a golf trip with some friends.The introvert within me always struggles when he goes away…. do I hang out by myself, blissfully taking in the quiet time… or, do I spend it with a friend catching up?? The latter ended up winning. My sister and I made plans for a low key evening… a little bit of wine, some take-out, and the couch were on the agenda… and it couldn’t have been more relaxing (of course the relaxing part was after little miss went down). We caught up on life happenings and laughed about past memories… all while making plans for the upcoming holidays and her wedding. I guess that’s what I am looking forward to most over these next 7 weeks. Catching up with friends + family, reconnecting, making celebratory plans, creating new memories, and taking in that special feeling of the holidays….
Which will start for us with a sort of spur of the moment trip to Deer Valley this coming weekend…. snow is on the forecast for Thursday and I am so excited I could pretty much pee my pants (TMI??). If you have any must-see, must-do, must-eat (especially those) suggestions, please send them my way!! Hope you all have a wonderful week friends!!
{Nothing better than a little vanilla freeze when it’s 90 degrees in November….}
{Lunch with my momma at a new favorite spot, Zinqué}
{Harper’s first GNO with me + Allison (my sister)… girl already knows how to partake!}
{I couldn’t resist these mini booties}

I’ll be sharing an updated meal plan for the week on Wednesday, and I’m excited to show some new dishes I’ve been experimenting with! I’m looking ahead to the Thanksgiving feast and think I’ll be making my favorite stuffing dish I’ve been making for the past three years… I always end up doubling it, since it’s my favorite leftover after a fun day of shopping!
With out trip coming up this Friday, I’m rounding up ,and narrowing down, the pieces I am looking to bring…. Since I’m such a huge fan of leggings, I think these sweater leggings will be super comfy for traveling, or just lounging around. I picked up this cozy sweater (in the cream color), along with this oversized striped turtleneck. I also recently got this drape front cardigan in black, and think it will be a great option for traveling as well (since layers are my go to when I’m on a plane). A few other options I am considering include this cozy dolman sweater, this v-neck ribbed tunic, fuzzy sweater (hello cozy!), and this waffle knit cardigan. My jacket of choice is this puffer jacket, with one amazing faux fur hoodie. Seriously, can’t wait to bust it out!! Annnnd, this little beanie, and cable knit fringe wrap, will be tagging along too.
For everyday life I also love this peplum tee (so perfect for layering), drape neck jersey tunic, and this french terry hoodie (I love a good hood!).
A Thanksgiving tradition for our family is to watch The Griswold’s Christmas Vacation after dinner. My sister and I typically change into some cozy pajamas…. so, naturally, I’m on the hunt. I like this buffalo check pair (which I own in grey)… I also think this festive sweatshirt is adorable, as is this stripe pajama set. Annnnd because I hate walking around barefoot, these cable knit slipper socks are a must!
For little miss, I picked up this faux fur vest, pink padded parka, and adorable pom beanie.
I’ll be sharing 3 looks for Thanksgiving this week too, so stay tuned!
