There are few things more quintessentially summer than a sun hat and a casual summer dress paired with simple slide sandals. Not sure what it is about the combination, but for me, it screams June, July, August, and September (… and October, November… if you live in Southern California). While my summer uniform consistently rotates between several pairs of distressed denim shorts, I love this cute little embroidered number as a casual, yet slightly dressier, alternative. Not that I would actually be on the ground playing with Harper in it…. but when I want to feel like I didn’t just spend 30 minutes wiping pureed carrot off her face (and my shirt) this is what I toss on…. makes me feel wild and free again… okay, that’s a tad extreme… but hey, we all need those pieces that make us feel different… even if it’s only for a few hours. Am I right??
