Dressed Down Dress

I’ve always been a fan of dresses (well, that’s not entirely true… I was a bit averse to them in elementary school) for the ease with which they allow me to get dressed in the morning. Instead of having to pair a top with jeans, I look at a dress as a one stop shop. Pull it on and you’re three quarters of the way done…. a cute pair of shoes, a sweater, and you’re out the door. Simple enough. When I don’t want the dress to feel too “dressy” though I reach for a pair of sneakers…. love the combo. It’s the perfect way to balance out an otherwise relatively feminine clothing option. Yet, when I’m looking for an option that isn’t as “sporty,” I reach for these espadrilles. They’re oh-so-comfortable, perfect for warmer temperatures, and go with just about anything (I wore them with my favorite overalls last week). I loved pairing them with this easy going off the shoulder number a few weekends ago. It was simple, effortless, and got me through the day feeling comfortable and stylish. I guess it’s true what they say about having the right pair of shoes…. give a woman the right pair of shoes and she can conquer the world.
