Weekend Recap

I went into the weekend with a little bit of anxiety about a few loose ends from the week… which I never like to do. Friday night TJ and I enjoyed a little bit of rosé and chatted about my concerns… and then Saturday evening was spent enjoying good food and good company with family. There were moments where the laughter was so intense I couldn’t breathe… you know, that good old belly hurting laughter. The kind that makes all cares and worries wash away. Which only further confirmed for me that whatever life throws at me, as long as I have my family, everything else seems a little less significant. A secure base so to speak… which is exactly what TJ and I talked about creating for Harper as she grows. An environment where she can spread her wings, grow and explore, but always know that she has the support and care of her parents. So, I go into this week with a happy heart in knowing that no matter how old I get, I still have a secure base too!

{Total #firsttimemomfail moment here. I loved these little nikes, and when I asked the salesperson what the smallest size they had was he said “a 6.” I assumed he meant 6 months and figured she’d grow into them… um, yeah… it would be forever until she could wear these. Back they go, but reluctantly! (my shoes)

__________

We’re heading up to Napa this weekend (soooo excited) and I’m starting the packing early. I picked up this red lace top (comes in  black too), denim top with a raw hem, and this white off the shoulder top. I’m also loving this fringed hem cardigan for cooler spring and summer evenings… and this tie front striped midi dress for casual days.  Since I’ve been wearing a lot of basics lately, I love adding a little pop with my shoes. These sandals are a whole lot of amazing, and these more subtle fringe sandals come in multiple colors.

I’m also looking ahead to fun summer trips, and loving this matching crop and shorts set. This embroidered romper works for a casual day or fancy night out, and a crochet inset top offers a perfect alternative to a simple white tee… especially when paired with black cut-offs.

We laughed over the weekend that based on the way I pack, and since I will be packing for Harper this upcoming weekend, she will likely have a suitcase that will weigh over 50 pounds. That being said, I couldn’t leave out the little miss in getting some new pieces for this weekend. I love this little plaid flutter sleeve top, bubble denim shorts, and chambray top. I also love this floral romper, pink flutter sleeve top, and matching embroidered denim set. Annnnd one more, just because this pineapple bathing suit is tooooo cute.
