I’ve always thought it was important for a woman to have her favorite “go to” outfit. Those pieces, that when paired together, make her feel fabulous. For me, that has always included a favorite pair of jeans (currently these and these) and killer shoes (I’ve been known to overwear these). Those two things, when paired together, can combat any “bad hair, no make-up on, and I may or may not have just gotten spit up on day.” This outfit was no exception… I wore it yesterday on a day trip to the mall with my mom… and simply changed into these espadrilles for a quick bite out with TJ. I love when outfits can easily transition with one simple change….
With that, I wanted to take a moment to speak a little on the reasons for fashion on this blog. I’ve always looked at fashion as an outward expression of your inner self. Always. When I get ready in the morning, I choose pieces that fit my mood for the day… or the mood I hope to have (on those days I simply wake up on the wrong side of the bed….never….). I’ve also believed that a simple piece, that makes you feel fabulous, can give that little boost in confidence to rock that interview, meeting, or potentially awkward get together (come on, we all know we’ve been in those situations before…). I’ve also always felt that fashion isn’t all or none… there is a middle… you can wear a designer piece and balance that out with an equally fabulous bargain buy. So, my hope is that through the looks I share, you can find simple inspiration, your next splurge, or your next “oh my gosh that was such a bargain” piece… like this incredibly comfortable lace up sweater… could be the steal of the century!
