I’ve been living in jeans and tops as of late (I know… let me tell you something you didn’t already know, right?). I love the ease they provide. The versatility they afford. The effortless look it lends itself to. Yet, the other day, the weather was beautiful (following one of a small bunch of rainy weekends) and I was heading out for the afternoon. I initially pulled for my favorite distressed white denim and new camisole, but decided that I wanted to wear something a little different. Enter this pretty pink lace dress.
I’ve avoided dresses for a little while, not because I don’t like them (I love a good casual dress), but because they aren’t the easiest to wear with a mini one (especially when you’re breastfeeding). So, deciding that I wasn’t going to let that hold me back, I grabbed a pair of shorts and headed out. No, the shorts weren’t meant to be part of the outfit, they were simply meant to allow me to nurse in public. You gotta do what you gotta do, right? I couldn’t have been happier… the lace cut-out details were the perfect match for the blue skies, mild temperatures, and tree lined streets. To make it a little more casual friendly, I tossed on my favorite kicks and utility jacket… which came in handy when the temps started to drop later in the afternoon!
