Getaways to warm places make me happy for a number of reasons. Maybe the number one reason is the minimalist approach I am allowed to take. No fussy hairdos, make-up is kept to the bare basics, and outfits typically consist of dresses and a statement piece of jewelry. This past weekend I did just that. I let my hair air dry in the warm desert heat (and curled the extra frizzy pieces… because, believe me, it looked like a lion’s mane before I went at it with the curling iron…), and kept the make-up to my favorite foundation (along with some bronzer…), coral blush (always my favorite when going to warm locations), a lined lower lash, two coats of mascara, and a tinted lip moisturizer. Why can’t all days be this simple?
