Signing Off For 2020 With A Festive Cocktail, Treats, Outfits, + Reflections

It’s really hard to believe that Christmas is a mere 8 days away and 2021 is 14 days away… I sometimes still feel as if it’s still March and we’re on the brink of spring… anyone else?

I know that this year has been different for everyone… with its unique set of challenges, changes, and ups + downs… and I think for a lot of people it has felt like survival mode… just trying to balance all the moving parts of being parents, students, employees, children, siblings, friends, and every other role we all play in life….

So when I was working out yesterday morning I thought of a few questions that I want to reflect upon over these last two weeks of the year….

What was the biggest challenge for me this year and what did I learn about myself from it?

What were the biggest changes I made this year, both good and bad?

Thinking about the past year, when did I feel happiest? What was I doing, who was I with (this is limited this year, but it’s always the same people for me), and how can I bring more of that into 2021?

What was a positive that came out of this year for me and how can I possibly carry that into 2021?

What were the best moments from the year?

What were my predominate feelings throughout the year? How did I manage them?

I’m sure I’ll come up with more as I sit and reflect, but for right now those will be starters for me over the next two weeks…

And as we approach Friday, and what is typically the start of “vacation” time for so many, I hope that you can enjoy some much needed time off (or a few long weekends with the holidays) to enjoy the family that you can, and to recharge yourself. I’ll be taking the next two weeks off to do just that and I’m so looking forward to it…

So for today’s last post of 2020 I wanted to share a few easy ways to make the next few days festive and fun… a delicious cocktail, dessert board, and some easy outfits to wear for your holiday celebrations.

With that Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year… see you in 2021!
