Favorite Products From September: Fashion, Beauty, Baby, Food

I know that today is typically a Wellness Wednesday segment, but due to the fact that we are traveling, I had to push it back to Friday… I’ll call it Fitness Friday if you will…. so stay tuned…

Instead, I’m bringing you my favorite products from September. As Harper gets older and the seasons start to change, there are more and more products that I am trying and loving. So, I thought I would share with you just a few from the past month.

Fashion:

Peplum Tank: This has become one of my absolute favorite pieces of clothing this past month. When I ordered it, I wasn’t sure how it would fit, but once it arrived I fell in love. I like that the fit is loose, and the muscle tank shape lends itself to easy nursing. I wear this bralette with it and I love the look of the lace under the distressed hems. It comes in a few color options as well.

Platform Sneakers: I had been wanting a pair of platform kicks for a little while and had my eyes on these from the beginning. They are super comfortable, and I love the added height the platform provides me. They’re a perfect everyday shoe

Chunky Open Knit Sweater: I saw this sweater at the beginning of summer, but didn’t really want to pay the full price tag. So, when I saw that it had gone on major sale in September, I decided to snag it. I’m so glad I did. I’ve worn it so many times since it arrived (en route to Boston, traveling to Ojai, and just to run errands)…. it’s incredibly versatile and I can always layer a long sleeve top underneath when the temperatures drop.

Oversized Sweatshirt: Nothing says comfort more than this pink one. I love that it can be worn off the shoulder, and front tucked, to give it a little more structure. I’ve worn it lounging around the house in my favorite leggings, as well as on the flight back from Boston with a pair of high waisted jeans. I also recently purchased this option in navy… it’s a little more fitted, but still has the same amount of comfort.

Distressed Tee: I own this tee in two colors (olive + white). I think the high side slits make it different than a regular old white tee…. and the distressing is right up my ally. I wear a bralette underneath and have worn it with utility pants, cut-offs, and jeans. It’s an excellent layering option as well…. under a leather or suede motto jacket… or even a chunky cardigan.

Mules: I love these. Period. They’re an excellent alternative to sneakers and sandals…. the pointy toe and suede material makes it the perfect shoe for fall. I think the grey option is gorgeous too.

Utility Vest: I’ve had this item for over a year now, and I still love it. It went on a brief hiatus during the warmer summer months, but now that it’s layering time, I’ve pulled it back out. It’s oversized, but can be adjusted if you want a more fitted look. I also love this utility jacket (seen here, here) and it currently went on sale! I’ve been wearing it non-stop, since the mornings are cooler and the afternoons warm up… it’s a great layering piece.

Baby:

Puffs + Teething Bars: Ok. These. Are. Lifesavers. I began trying them out just after Harper turned 8 months and she absolutely loves them. I give her the teething bars around noon and the puffs sporadically throughout the day. They keep her occupied and happy… which means I can usually eat a meal in a little less rushed than usual.

Chunky Knit: I bought this sweater for little miss when we were heading to Boston, and think it’s such a great investment. It’s super soft and keeps her comfortable. It will be on heavy rotation as we move into the cooler temperatures.

Baby Bjorn Carrier: We used this carrier a lot when Harper was little, and then between months 4-8 kind of stopped using it. Yet, over the past several weeks we have started using it more frequently for our evening walks (and most recently on our flight to Hawaii). She loves the front facing ability and I Iove that it allows me to be hands free.

Teething Bib: Little miss has been popping teeth like it’s her job and this bib has helped so much. It has a teething option at the end, so when her teeth are bothering her she can simply pop it into her mouth to chew on it.

Activity Gym: Girlfriend loves this toy! It has so many different activities that she can engage with. It keeps her occupied morning and evening… which means I can cook some dinner without running after her!

Vitality Shots: TJ and I have been loving these things lately. They are a great way to fight inflammation, which is the cause of a lot of diseases. We don’t take one everyday, but I’d say we use them 3-4 days a week.

Purely Elizabeth Pumpkin Granola: This stuff is pretty much as good as it sounds. I’m a huge fan of her regular granola… so it only seemed natural to try out this seasonal option. Ah-mazing. Period.

Maple Almond Perfect Bar: I typically chop up a peanut butter perfect bar and toss it on my oatmeal in the morning. So, when I saw this new flavor, I thought I would give it a taste. It’s super delicious and I feel like it has all the fall feels to it.

Paleo Granola: This stuff is #addicting. I pretty much just grab a few chunks when I’m feeling hungry. It’s satisfying and tasty. A win-win if you ask me.

Vegan Sea Salt Dark Chocolate: I tried these out over Labor Day when we were making s’mores, and let me tell you, they were delish. I try to avoid dairy as much as possible, so the fact that they were dairy free made me excited. There are so many different flavors to choose from, and as we move into the holiday baking season I can’t wait to experiment with them more.

Meiomi Pinot Noir: Before I became pregnant, I was a huge pinot fan… then post pregnancy, I just wasn’t feeling the varietal. Yet, over the past few month I’ve found myself sipping on a glass of pinot over rosé (what?!) and this is my current favorite. It’s full bodied, with hints of chocolate….. I mean, could it get any better? I find mine at Trader Joe’s ($15.99).

Beauty:

Formulary Facial Mask: I typically never fall prey to the items surrounding the cash register…. but when you’re at Anthropologie those items tend to be particularly interesting. Which is how I ended up coming home with the clay mask. I love it. I use it once a week and it leaves my skin feeling super soft…. and sometimes it’s nice to sit on the couch on a Friday evening, stretchy pants on, clay mask on my face, said pinot in my hand.

OPI Infinite Shine: Last month I featured a nail color that I was loving, and this past month I found a new fall neutral favorite. It’s not quite as dark as some of the fall hues, which is why I love it so much. It’s sort of like a soft mauve. I’ve been wearing it non-stop over the past several weeks.

Dry Shampoo: I briefly talked about this dry shampoo here, but love it so much I thought it was worth mentioning again. Dry Shampoos typically dry my hair out, but I haven’t noticed that with this one… and it makes my hair smell like I just washed it. It’s an investment, but a good one (in my opinion).

Travel Kit: I have been using this travel kit for all of our recent travels and the pieces are pretty amazing. They fit all of my make-up and beauty products (easily) and they are of excellent quality. If you’re a jet-setter, these are a must-have for transporting all of your beauty essentials.
