With the majority of restaurants being closed around the nation this Mother’s Day, there will be a lot of husbands (sons, fathers, nephews, uncles….) who need to dig deep and find their culinary skills. I say that jokingly, but since we will all be home this Mother’s Day there isn’t any reason why it can’t be as special as years past. And while some prefer to stay home on Mother’s Day (us included, we love at home brunches + entertaining….) it’s a well known fact that Mother’s Day is the busiest day for restaurants. I think we can all read between the lines on that one.
Given that, I rounded up seven of our go-to breakfast dishes, that when eaten solo, or combined together, can make a delicious + easy Mother’s Day brunch/breakfast option….
A few other notes…..
If your family is a huge fan of pancakes, you can of course make them from scratch, or we love the Birch Benders Pancake mix. Toss in some cinnamon + Lily’s Chocolate Chips and they’re so tasty…..
Make a berry fruit salad as an easy side for any of the dishes….
Or, pick up a dozen donuts from your favorite donut shop for a “sweet treat” side to go with the egg dishes…..
Don’t forget to add in some breakfast meats… bacon (turkey or regular), lox, breakfast sausages (we love Applegate Organics…), or Hilary’s Eat Well Veggie Breakfast patties.
Annnnd, beverages… don’t forget orange juice, sparkling water, teas + coffee, and prosecco (La Marca is our favorite) if you want a mimosa.
Oh, if your husband needs a little nudging feel free to send him this…. these meals are all so easy, anyone could make them!
Here’s to celebrating Motherhood!
