Once Friday night hit, we did nothing. Slept in (love that the girls are at an age where they actually sleep in too… I remember the days of 5:30am weekend wake-ups…), had leisurely breakfasts, long walks, time spent by the pool, reading an easy book, night swims, and a glass of bubbly next to the fire pit after the girls went down. And after the hustle of the school year, being intentional about having slow summer days and weekends has been so helpful to resetting and reconnecting as a family.
With that, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and a great start to the week ahead!
I’ll have a Cabo trip recap, as well as 4th of July outfit inspo coming up in the next few days…
(A Thursday beach walk and lunch at our favorite spot…)
(A beautiful Friday lunch at Malibu Farms… top, shorts, bag)
(A cozy Friday night at home… pajama shorts + top)
(Saturday around town… shorts, pullover)
(Saturday night swim… slippers)
(And started this one poolside on Sunday…)

If you’re looking for some casual and super soft shorts for summer, I love Varley’s DoubeSoft Ollie Shorts. I wore mine on a beach walk to lunch, and then another casual weekend lunch as well. Love the fit and all the color options. The Atrium shorts are another great option that I have in the blue… longer inseam and overall very nice.
Love these pool and beach towels. We have had ours, in another color, for about 4 years now and they’re needing a bit of an upgrade. Considering this color.
I bought these cotton poplin shorts in the blue and white stripe and white color and they’re perfect for summer.
The girls picked out these black slingback sandals for summer and they’re so cute, and they say comfortable.
Loving gingham right now… I bought these adorable scalloped shorts and matching top and it’s so cute! Also have this gingham dress I’m bringing with us to Europe in a few weeks. This red and white gingham dress, black and white gingham skirt (in red here), and these easy drawstring pants are all so cute as well.
