We spent this weekend, from the moment Friday arrived until 6pm on Sunday evening, outside, soaking up the warm sunshine…. we ordered out from some of our favorite restaurants, had weekend donuts + avocado toast, assembled some furniture, pushed the girls on the swings, had a few adult libations, and just really enjoyed doing nothing….
And was we approach the new week ahead, both TJ + I have vaccination appointments (man we’ve been waiting for these for a long time…) and I can’t help but think ahead a month or two… will we head out more, or have we grown accustomed to the slow pace of life at home?? I’m hoping we will strike a balance between getting out a bit, and still enjoying the comforts of our home… a place that has become a safe sanctuary for us over the past 13ish months….
Maybe there will be a few more date nights out in our future (we already booked my parents for one…), some weekends away with the family, and more celebrations with friends… but if there is one thing that I have come to appreciate over the past year it’s that home was a safe base for us all… and a place that will continue to be so for us as we begin to venture out a little more…
I hope you all have a great week ahead!

Camille’s birthday is this Thursday, I can’t believe she is turning 2, but we’re having a small family pool party with a mermaid theme…. I bought these blush + gold plates to go with these shell cute plates + seashell napkins, fondant mermaid cake decorations, and these mermaid rafts for the party…. and then this pastel tiered dress + mermaid suits for the girls.
We made a few updates to our backyard furniture given that we are moving a few things around… we purchased this round coffee table (which is beautiful in person) to replace the fire-pit on the porch… and added these casual chairs for our dining area. We also had to cancel our initial pool furniture because it kept being postponed and wasn’t going to arrive until January, so we purchased this sectional instead.
A few cute spring basics under $75 include this short sleeve sweatshirt, linen paper-bag shorts, and these black pull on shorts. This is also one of my favorite tanks, and considering it in black for this summer season.
