{His and Her’s iced soy chai tea lattes for the quick trip to LA}
Traveling, for me, always seems to be a double edged sword. Getting away renews the soul and opens me up to new experiences. Yet, there is always a lull upon returning. Don’t get me wrong, I love home, my own bed, and home-cooking, but I also love adventure, seeing new (or old) places, and the connections that are re-established when away. So, when we returned Monday morning from our Carmel trip, I already knew what was in store for me around 5pm… and it didn’t disappoint. I wanted to go somewhere, again, as in, tomorrow. Since that wasn’t in the cards, I knew I only needed to wait a mere 5 days until our little stay-cation in Los Angeles could commence.
That’s the beauty of travel. It doesn’t have to require a plane, or a 5 hour road trip. LA is a mere 30 minutes from us and a world of difference from Orange County. Different cultures, restaurants, and experiences are limitless. In recent months it has become one of my favorite places to explore. Moral of the story? Get out and explore wherever and whenever you can. For me, it keeps me young, curious, and excited about life! Here’s to a week of planning an upcoming weekend of exploring.

{An evening with a view, can’t wait to share more this week}
{The LINE hotel is a must see/stay when visiting LA.}
I’ve mentioned it here several times, but while being pregnant I’ve spent a lot of time focusing on the backside region and weights. That’s why this weekend’s Women’s Health Challenge was right up my growing belly’s ally.
In the past few years I’ve realized that I am an introvert. Not shy, but an introvert. I’ve considered writing a post on it, and this article inspired me to collect a few thoughts and compile something soon.
The temps are dropping here, so I’m eyeing lots of warm pieces… and a few fun holiday items too. Love this sequin pants and white blazer combination, these studded booties are spot on, as are these in the chestnut color (although, they would be a splurge, of course!). This burgundy dress is simple for the holidays, and I’m loving this stripe zip-up cape.
