(Checked into The Pendry for the first two nights….)
TJ + I headed down to San Diego for our annual anniversary weekend. It’s been a tradition for the past eight years… head back down to the place where it all started (we met in college at The University of San Diego 13 years ago…) and we typically spend the weekend visiting old favorites, sipping bubbly, getting in workouts, and enjoying one another’s company. This weekend’s trip started off a little rocky…..
The plan was for TJ and I to head out during Harper’s afternoon nap…. my mom would watch her at my parent’s house and then my sister would come pick her up, with my car (an easier way to handle the carseat situation….), and head back to our house for the weekend. My mom called me around 4pm… just as my sister was arriving to pick up Harper and as we were checking into the hotel, getting ready to settle in…. and asked “Where are your car and house keys??” I looked in my purse and there they were, sitting on top of everything….. #MajorMomBrain. Since we had Captain, our pup, at home it wasn’t an option to not get them back down to Orange County (which, on a Friday evening, would have been a 5 hour roundtrip…..). As I ran various scenarios in my head, I was reminded of this….
“The difference between an ordeal and an adventure is attitude….”
What easily could have been a major ordeal, was simply an adventure as we brainstormed ways to effectively manage the situation….. We ultimately ended up finding a courrier service and had the keys sent up to my family. Crisis adverted. Yet, the quote above holds true for everyday living. Each situation can be an adventure if we come at it with the right point of view. So, as we head home today to little miss, I do so with the adventure mentality in mind. Have a good one friends!

We hit up the new SoulCycle down in San Diego and it was amazing… if you’re in the area, be sure to check it out!
A few of my favorite items from last season were recently restocked, like this flutter sleeve tee (that can be worn two ways), this short sleeved bell jacket, and super comfortable sweatshirt dress (featured here).
I found my favorite stripe henley in 3 other colors…. thinking about snagging it in the gray too…. Also,
A few cute date night tops that I’m loving right now include this rose colored wrap top, polka dot body suit (#obsessed), and this pretty little ruffle one shoulder top.
Nightwalker has some of the most gorgeous dresses, for a below $150 price point… perfect if you have any special occasions coming up… I’m love, loving this floral print beauty. I’m also loving Endless Rose for their beautiful feminine silhouettes…. particularly this cute little top + skirt combo… or wear the skirt solo with a basic v-neck tank front knotted or a cute slouchy knit.
So many gorgeous spring resort wear items keep being released and they’re too good not to share with you! I’m loving this flowy little white dress (my sister wore it to her Bachelorette Party…), this adorable polka dot skirt + top duo, stripe front knot dress, and these adorable little shorts.
