{The prettiest bougainvillea bushes}
This past week felt like a long one. You know those weeks where everything just seems slightly off? Where I realized my hair was falling out… in chunks… you know, just a blah week. So, I welcomed the weekend with open arms (okay, I was pretty much begging for it on Wednesday morning when I woke up and thought it was Saturday morning….). Over the weekend we had no plans, and played it all by ear. We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and take-out on Friday night, followed by a nice long beach run Saturday morning. We didn’t worry about makeup or hair and moved seamlessly throughout the day. I love weekends and reconnecting with those you love and care about… I was also reminded that life is a constant series of ups and downs. One week can be amazing, and the next can be a “one of those days”… for several days. Yet, without those weeks, it’s hard to appreciate the weeks were everything seems to simply fall into place. So, here’s to a week of welcoming challenges, opportunities, and finding excitement in the small things in life!! Have a good one everyone!

{Post-run taco lunch at Wild Fish. It’s a must go if you’re in the area}
{Peach season… so juicy and delicious}
{Sunday morning acai bowls x2 (leggings)}

This past weekend we were trying to decide what to have for breakfast and these healthy pancakes and breakfast bake were the final two choices! Both were (are) excellent!!
I did some major purchasing this weekend for Hawaii. I opted for these causal beach lounging pants, the perfect simple white linen tank (own multiple colors), gold sandals (I also own them in silver!), this black and white swimsuit, and basic flip-flops (I buy a new pair of these each year). We have a few evenings out planned and I’m contemplating between this red romper, windowpane breezy maxi dress, and these studded sandals. I also love this shorts/off the shoulder top combo for a casual evening sipping Blue Hawaiians and watching the sunset.
Since life will continue after vacation, I’m also looking at these new basics. I love this black shirt dress with pockets (and it comes in several different colors!), lace up white tank, and this tank dress (I wore the grey version all throughout pregnancy, but I’m eyeing the olive version). I’m into the tie front trend right now and I’m eyeing this striped tank and this white (and grey) version.
My mom’s friend bought Harper this adorable flamingo swimsuit for Hawaii, and I picked up this Memorial Day ensemble for her too!
