Our Winter Adventure in Park City

We arrived home mid-day yesterday after spending five nights in Deer Valley… a trip that, for the past 6 years, always seemed to kick off the holiday season for us. Having not gone last year, we were eagerly anticipating this trip… we watched the weather diligently, hoping for snow… added a last minute, spur of the moment night… and when the day came to leave we did so eagerly anticipating the days ahead of us…

They weren’t without complications… Camille woke up 2-3 times each night (for various reasons…), Harper had altitude headaches (she said “my brain hurts…”), and we had some meltdowns from a tiny two year old… but that’s to be expected when traveling with little ones, and our time there didn’t disappoint…

We had snow… was able to spend the a full day watching the snow fall (this is very exciting to us in California, haha), spent mornings sledding, having lazy afternoons watching movies together, and then capped the evenings off with s’mores by the snowy fire-pits.

And as we were walking back to our room on the last evening, Harper had tears in her eye and told me “This was so fun, I don’t want to leave.” I guess it was a sign of a good, tired, time had by all…

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your loved ones!
