Happy Friday friends… made it to the weekend… and now time for a couple of days off. I hope you all have something fun planned… whether that’s doing nothing or a bunch of somethings, have a good one!
When TJ and I were in Florence, he spent longer in the shoe store than I did… needless to say, he has relatively particular taste. So every year when the Anniversary Sale rolls around, we end up picking up a few necessities for his closet as well. Given that, I had TJ compile a list of his favorite items, in case you’re looking to snag a few pieces for the guy in your life too….
Workout Wear: Of course this is always a staple for us. TJ’s favorite windbreaker + joggers are part of the sale (styled here)… and we purchased these workout shorts, tee (both styled here), and marled white joggers this season. Love that the shorts + tee can be worn now… since it’s been so warm out!
Casual Tops: Since TJ works from home a lot, nice casual tops are great to have in the closet. A few favs from the sale include the v-neck he’s wearing today (comes in two color options), short sleeve henley (Good Man Brand is one of his favs… such an excellent fit…), printed polo top (comes in a few colors and my dad has it too), this solid colored polo (again, lots of color options) which is a great everyday option, and this long sleeve henley top. He also snagged this short sleeve button up top… great for a casual summer date night.
Dress Shirts: For the days at the office, fancier occasions, and client meetings TJ is loving slim fit dot dress shirt, check dress shirt (one of his favorite brands of dress shirts), and this black and white trim fit top.
Sweaters: While we wont be wearing sweaters until November (if we’re lucky) a few favorite selects from the sale include this stripe pullover + this quarter zip pullover… great for a business casual environment too.
Bottoms: Paige denim is TJ’s favorite line of jeans, and federal slim fit pair fits like a glove… they’re a dark enough wash to wear to casual work meetings and perfect for a date night… and he also owns this gray pair.
Workwear: I know I’ve mentioned a few items above, but this is always the time that TJ buys a new sports coat + some slacks. He owns this sports coat and it’s super versatile, plus the fit is trim so it looks super polished…. and he has his eye on this one this year. As far as suits go, BOSS is his favorite brand… he wore a trim fit black one for our wedding (it still fits like a glove) and also owns a tan and navy blue suit from the line. When they’re on sale, it’s such a great time to buy.
Shoes: I feel as if the men’s selection of shoes was better than the women’s this season. That being said, some of TJ’s favorite dress shoes are included (wear to work, and dressier occasions) including his favorite Allen Edmonds (his first pair of dress shoes he bout 8 years ago….) + matching belt, Magnanni shoes he got for his birthday last year, and these Ferragamo drivers. A few pairs that he really likes this season include these casual kicks, low top sneakers, and these slip on sneakers.
