I love the simplicity that goes into island life dressing. A simple swimsuit, paired with my favorite pair of distressed denim shorts and I’m good to go…. and I wish all days could be that simple…
When I was making my preparations for this trip, I wanted to make sure that the items I brought would help me feel confident and comfortable. So, I spent some time searching for the perfect swimsuits. I’ve always loved a good one piece… but have typically only owned one, and have worn it year after year (it’s the pink and tan one featured here). This year, I invested in a few cute ones, and have loved wearing them on this trip. The benefits of a one piece? Well, for starters, less places that you need to apply sunscreen. Secondly? Those shave ice + mai tai indulgences might not show as easily (that’s maybe the most important, right?). Either way, I’ve been loving mine, and can’t wait to wear them throughout the summer. And, little miss Harper can’t wait to wear her new resort wear over the next few months either. I loved picking out a few (okay, a lot) of cute pieces for her for this recent trip. Among those pieces, were the suits and hats featured here! I consider her fully immersed in the whole island living when she wears these pieces… I mean a big floppy hat + a cute suit… what more does a gal need??
