I often feel as if I should have been born in a different decade. I’ve always loved the glamour of the roaring 20’s and lately it’s been hard to move away from some of those 70’s trends. Flares have been hanging in my closet since 2011, when I purchased a pair to elongate my legs. They did just that and I haven’t given them up since. The fringe trend is in full effect, and while it can be over the top at times, I love the texture it adds to any ensemble. So, it was only natural that when I saw this little pink jacket it quickly made its way into my closet. I’ve found myself shunning away from anything pink lately (for myself that is… and sometimes I feel Harper already has enough of it… is that bad??), so to neutralize the uber feminine nature of the coat, I opted for all black… sleek with a touch of femininity. Nicely balanced.

On another note, I can’t tell you how happy I am the weekend is here. I had major pregnancy brain this week, and didn’t even think that was a real thing! I completely forgot about an 8:45 am work meeting, and then TJ politely informed me that my pants were on backwards. I think I need the weekend to recharge!
