Every spring season I seem to go on the hunt for a few key wardrobe staples. A fabulous pair of sandals, the perfect pair of shorts, an airy white blouse, and the little white dress. My closet is full of each of these items, but each new season has me craving for fresh new versions (not that I retire last year’s essentials… that usually takes about 10 years in my closet…). This season’s hunt led me quickly to these sandals, shorts, and top… but what I couldn’t seem to find was the perfect white dress (last year’s is here). You see, in my mind, the perfect white dress is one that, when you put it on, you feel as though you’ve been transported somewhere tropical, sipping an umbrella drink, with your windblown hair and natural make-up, watching as the sun sets just over the horizon. Yes, that’s the illustrious feeling I strive for. So you can see why this search always proves so difficult. Until I laid my eyes on this one. It flows effortlessly as you walk and has that airy aurora of being on vacation. Even though it gives me that feeling, sadly, I’m not on vacation. Solution? A simple leather jacket and some pumps… that brings me back to reality pretty quickly (quicker than I’d like though) 🙂
