The week that that we left for Hawaii, I decided we needed to do something a little different with our weekly salmon dinner. I went through our favorite cuisines in my head…. and and Asian style kept sounding good. So I rummaged our cabinets, did a little research, and headed off to the grocery store…
We weren’t quite sure how it would turn out, but it exceeded our expectations. Full of flavor, and when served with our favorite cauliflower fried rice, it was the perfect Asian inspired dish. We liked it so much that we made it the other evening, I snapped a pic, and decided that it would be a good idea to share it here! Hope you enjoy if you try….
asian baked salmon
1 lb of salmon
2 garlic cloves
2 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos (I use Tamari)
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp sriracha
1 tbsp ginger (I use grated, frozen cubes from Trader Joe’s)
Sesame seeds
Green onion
In a large storage container, marinade salmon for 30 minutes to 1 hour before baking
Preheat Oven to 425°
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place salmon in the middle, pouring out the marinade on top of it
Bake for 18(ish) minutes (uncovered)
Once flaky, remove and place on top of cauliflower fried rice (we’ve been following this recipe for a couple of years now).
Sprinkle with sesame seeds + green onion
