So, with the holiday season well underway, so too are the relatively indulgent weekends. Between fun + festive get togethers, a couple trips, and then just the merriment of the season (i.e. cookie baking) it just lends itself to a few more indulgences than usual. I typically just roll with it, mainly because I simply rely on getting back on track the next day… or the day after that… after vacation…. you get the drift.
Today I’m sharing an easy “back to clean eating” meal plan… so that we can all happily indulge and get back on track when we need to! Cheers friends!
MONDAY
BREAKFAST: Breakfast Taco: 1 Siete Tortilla, arugula, avocado, salsa verde, pico de gallo, 2 soft scrambled eggs with a side of strawberries
SNACK: 100 Calorie Perfect Bar
LUNCH: Black Bean + Corn Enchiladas from Trader Joe’s (frozen… it was one of those days!) + a handful of baby carrots + a side spinach salad drizzled with Primal Kitchen Ranch Dressing.
Snack: Beet chips + hummus
Dinner: Sausage, Spinach, + White Bean Soup
TUESDAY
BREAKFAST: Egg Scramble- 2 soft scrambled eggs, 2 slices of turkey bacon, avocado, arugula, salsa verde, + Trader Joe’s Everything But The Bagel Seasoning
SNACK: Banana
LUNCH: Leftover soup w/ Simple Mills Crackers
SNACK: Carrots, Bell Peppers, Cucumber, + Hummus
DINNER: Shrimp Tacos
DESSERT: Popcorn
WEDNESDAY
BREAKFAST: Acai Bowls (we order out from Blue Bowl, but these are what we make at home)
SNACK: still full from Acai Bowl
LUNCH: Salad at home , I used lentils + quinoa as my protein
SNACK: Beet Chips + Hummus again
DINNER: Vegetarian Chili– huge hit at our house
THUSDAY
BREAKFAST: Overnight Oats
SNACK: Hard boiled egg + apple slices
LUNCH: Leftover Chili w/simple mills crackers
SNACK: Trail mix- almonds, banana chips, dried cranberries, Lily’s chocolate chips
DINNER: Asian Style Salmon
DESSERT: Popcorn
FRIDAY
BREAKFAST: Egg Scramble- same as Tuesday
SNACK: 100 Calorie Perfect Bar
LUNCH: Ground Turkey Salad (arugula + mixed greens with a variety of toppings)
SNACK: Turmeric Smoothie
DINNER: Take-out (always) Thai Food– I went with shrimp curry
DESSERT: Wine + Cookies
