Well, the weekend has come and gone and now here we are at the start of a new week, and the week that commences the 2025-2026 school year (sometimes I still think it’s 2024!). When the summer started, back on May 31st, it felt as if we had so much time ahead of us. Now, with a bittersweet feeling, 2 days are left.
On the one hand, I’m excited for this new school year and all the opportunities for growth and exploration offered to the girls. But on the other, I’m also sad that another summer with them as children (when they still enjoy hanging out with us) has come and gone.
Camille was looking at our bookshelf earlier during the weekend, and she suddenly stopped commenting on the titles and looked sad. After some prompting, she said the books I read reminded her of the summer, and that she was sad the summer season was over.
Same girl, same.
All of that to say, it’s time to fall back into rhythms and routines. I had a list of blog posts/content I had planned to work on this summer and just couldn’t balance it all. So hopefully over the next couple of weeks I’ll be able to bring some travel recaps and transitional dressing options. Before all of that though, I promise August’s capsule wardrobe (it’s 75% finished) this week.
With that, I hope everyone has a wonderful start to the week before us!
(Family lunch and a little window shopping… shorts, tee, sweater, hair tie around sweater)
(Saturday morning walk to Flower Child lunch… shorts, pullover, sneakers)
(Started this one poolside and it hooks you from the beginning…)

Vuori launched one of my favorite wide legged pants (great for cool weather travel) in two new colors. Can’t recommend these more. This matching button down would elevate it nicely as well.
A few pieces that I’m loving for now, that would easily transition to later, include this ribbed tank button down, denim puff sleeve top, and this striped cotton/cashmere tank.
Obsessed with this olive marle color from Varley… so beautiful for now and into fall. Paired with the matching pants and it’s so chic, elevated, and comfortable (I also love the coffee bean color).
These camel suede sneakers for now and into fall are such a gorgeous color.
If you have an upcoming formal/black tie wedding, I love this black one shoulder dress.
The girls go back to school this week and we did a bit of back to school shopping. These shorts and this bubble skirt were favorites as well as this graphic tee, denim skort, and these new balance sneakers (these are their favs).
