Monday always comes too quickly. I was chatting with a friend this morning, as we walked the girls up to school, about how we had to hit the snooze button, multiple times this morning…
All of that aside, we hosted a little Halloween party for the girls’ friends and their families over the weekend and it was so cute to see how excited they all were to wear their costumes, and dress up with their parents. I shared this on instagram, but I keep thinking about what a small window this period of time is…. how quickly the time will come when they wanting nothing to do with us on Halloween… how mom and dad dressing up will be more embarrassing than fun, and the innocent games of holidays and parties will be a distant memory. I’m truly loving this age that they are and wishing that I could just freeze time.
But I guess that’s why being present in the moment is so important, because things are always changing and evolving….
Just like the weekend is always starting, and now ending… and here we are at a new week. I hope everyone has a wonderful start to the week ahead!

SHOPBOP is having a sale on a wide range of items, with percentages varying (20-40%). So many items I own and recommend are included:
Varley never goes on sale on their site, but for SHOPBOP they have a great selection on sale… like this brown reversible sherpa vest (I wore it a lot in Montana), sherpa vest (this one isn’t as “puffy” as the brown option), side zip pullover in their doublesoft material (love the coffee brown shade), half zip sweatshirt + matching slim pants in golden bronze, and I don’t own this quilted brown jacket but it looks so beautiful for cool fall and winter days.
So many of my go-to pairs of denim as well:
these black pinch waist 90’s jeans and the same style in a lightwash
my favorite ecru straight leg jeans… if you don’t want skinny or wideleg, these are them but size up
Lots of great Clare V. bags as well!
This petite moyen in silver (such a great size), the larger moyen in ivory, and I have my eye on this beautiful black bucket bag…
My favorite Jenni Kayne sweater, the oversized alpaca cocoon sweater is included. If you are very sensitive to wool, I don’t recommend this sweater (or you’ll want to layer it over a long sleeve sweater). I am not particularly sensitive, so I find it to be cozy and warm. I don’t own this striped cotton cardigan, but it looks so beautiful.
And lastly, I don’t own these items but think they would be great for fall and winter… this dark camel sherpa lined coat, black and white stripe henley top, and this brown button down dress.
