On Friday after school, we surprised the girls with a quick 24 hour staycation to kick off the long weekend… the weeks have been so busy since we went back to school, so we were really looking forward to some concentrated quality time together…

Having been born and raised in Orange County (both TJ and I), it’s always so easy to take for granted the beautiful coastline, the sound of crashing waves, and the salty air. And being that we live so close to the beach, we rarely experience it in the same way those visiting from out of town do. It was fun to appreciate it all from a different POV, even if it was only for 24 hours.

With that, I hope everyone had a wonderful few days, and that you were able to fit in some relaxation in whatever your plans were. Here’s to a good week ahead!

(Clouds broke for a beautiful morning at the beach… then lobster tacos before heading back home… brown sweater (I went up a size for a looser fit), shorts, heart earrings)

(And then a BBQ with the family… a little rose tasting and s’mores to unofficially close out summer)

I am loving emerald, varsity, and essex green shades for this upcoming season… I purchased this workout dress, and added this onesie to my wishlist for cooler weather. I also added these under $50 sweatpants (they come in petite sizes as well so I imagine short gal friendly) and matching sweatshirt to my cart. Also love these buttery soft leggings, and this oversized half zip pullover.

Sezane has some beautiful pieces to transition into fall like this beautiful floral wrap skirt (and matching top), faux sheepskin vest (not really transitional haha), and my go-to trench for the past several seasons was restocked (it sells out every season).
