I typically use my long Friday runs for closing out all the open tabs in my brain from the week. All weeks are different, but the past couple of weeks in particular felt as if there were too many “tabs” that needed to be closed. As I headed into Friday morning, I felt physically tired, despite getting 8 hours of sleep, etc. So I told myself that I’d run for 5 minutes, and if I wasn’t feeling it, I’d walk. After I started to process and close the various open tabs, I started to fall into a runner’s groove and began to feel more energized.
I think it’s easy to forget that the invisible mental load (work, everyone’s schedules, homework, meals, and everything in between) can have such a huge impact on our bodies physically… it can feel as if we’ve been walking around Disneyland for multiple days with the family (haha). And while this weekend wasn’t one that I would classify as “relaxing” per se, it was one where the M-F demands paused, and for that, I was very grateful.
Annnd, now here we are, another Monday upon us and I hope that it’s off to a good start for everyone!

SHOPBOP is having 20% off a wide range of end of summer into fall pieces. Breaking down the items I own and recommend, along with items I have in my cart below:
DENIM:
The softest Citizens of Humanity trouser jeans are on sale (I had these hemmed and they are worth it)…
My favorite pair of ivory wide legged jeans (I’ve had these going on 3 seasons now)
The washed black wide legged, cuff jeans from AGOLDE… these are beautiful for a date night. I recommend sizing down… and I had these hemmed as well (again, very worth it)
These black straight leg jeans (high waisted fit and I cut the hem)
And if you’re still looking for a great pair of denim shorts, these AGOLDE cut-offs quickly because a favorite this summer season (high waisted with a longer inseam).
I have my eye on these wide legged sand colored jeans as well as these chocolate covered coated jeans… both beautiful for fall.
BAGS, ACCESSORIES, & SHOES
So many of my favorite Clare V. bags are included- the Moyen bag (here it is in black) is wonderful for everyday (and I have my eye on this petite version in silver), the grande fanny is perfect for crossbody wear (I love wearing this everyday, as well as on walks and the soccer field) and it comes in so many great colors (black and white check and the solid black here), and I also love this smaller fanny version.
This large Mansur Gavriel hobo bag that I purchased last winter is included… can’t recommend this more. Carries so much and is made from the softest pebbled leather. I love this biscotti color as well.
These Madewell kitten heel booties are so comfortable and great for fall/winter (I have them in a tan color from last season but plan on purchasing the black for this year).
Madewell also has beautiful fall bags included in the sale, I have this spacious tote bag (with studs, not included) and it comes in a chocolate brown, olive, and light tan suede color. I also think this crescent hobo bag looks so chic.
The Reformation Bethany Flat was one of my favorite shoes from last fall (I have them in a black studded color) and they are 20% off in the red mesh (love) and silver (again, love).
A favorite sun hat from the summer, this Jenni Jayne “Backyard Hat,” is 20% off as well… great for kiddo sporting events.
SWEATERS, TOPS, SUITS
I have my eye on this ivory and tan striped oversized Alpaca sweater (I bought it in ivory last winter and wore it all the time)….
My favorite strapless top, that I have in white and black, is included and a great base layer in the fall…
This cotton black and white striped sweater that I purchased last fall is included (not itchy, yay!)… I highly recommend sizing up 1-2 sizes for a looser fit as it’s quite fitted.
I think this ivory knit vest is beautiful for fall (and that in between transition from summer to fall….)
I also love this low scoop back bodysuit…
and my strapless Hunza G suit is 20% off, as well as the black skirt (I wore it as a coverup and for evenings out) I wore in Europe…
