Weekend Recap + Weekend Wishlist

weekend recap, itsy bitsy indulgences {She melts my heart (floral dress)}

It was a fun and festive weekend for us. With the recent engagement of my little sister (who used to write this blog with me), we spent Saturday evening celebrating her and her fiancé. It was a much anticipated event, and it didn’t disappoint. From the delicious tacos, great libations, elaborate churro bar, and good company, it was an event to remember…. Which reminds me that we are entering that time of year…

A time filled with fun festivities and celebrations. Where family + friends gather together to celebrate the holidays. It’s one of my very favorite times of the year, and I eagerly look forward to all of it, especially now that we have Harper. I can’t wait to see her in her first halloween costume, have her help us carve her first pumpkin, and experience her first trick or treat (even if it is only to one door)! So, here’s to a week that is filled with much anticipation and excitement for the first holiday of the fall season! Have a great one friends!!

________

 I was looking for a little bit of inspiration in the kitchen, so I perused pinterest a little. We ended up making this delicious stew for dinner last night, and these amazing paleo pumpkin cookies for dessert. I am currently in the process of whipping up my favorite baked oatmeal batch for the week.

I was working on a future post, and came across some excellent, everyday options that I thought I would share with you. A few outerwear pieces that I have my eye on include this faux leather jacket in a gorgeous cream color (I really like cream tones for fall), this white puffer vest, and this camel colored wool coat. I also think this hooded cable knit wrap is perfect for layering. I also stumbled across these faux suede leggings (that come in three colors) and will be picking them up later this afternoon! I think this grey pair is gorgeous too, as they have a little more structure. I am also loving this striped cold shoulder tee, as well as this blush colored option (which comes in a few other colors as well). I think they are a great option that can be dressed up or down. These high-low tees are also a great option for everyday, or evening… I like this grey v-neck option, coffee colored scoop neck version, and this poncho shaped top. This v-neck tunic has the cutest front pockets, and this relaxed peplum long sleeve top is so feminine (love it in black + cream) with an excellent price point.

I was so bummed when these slides sold out immediately (because these simply aren’t in the budget)… but now that I have found them again, I’m not letting them go! These studded cutout booties are super cute too (and a cheaper version of this designer pair). And, these mauve colored sneakers are perfect for everyday life.

Thinking ahead to the holidays a little, I think this red ruffle top is gorgeous! I also think this velvet lace cami + this cream colored beaded blouse are stunning!
