Weekend Recap: Traditions

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday celebrating with those who mean the most to you. There is definitely something  about this time of year that necessitates the need to fall back onto traditions. Traditions seem to be what makes this time of year special and unique. When I meet with clients I always talk to them about the importance of establishing traditions as they move throughout their life phases. Traditions have a stabilizing affect. They ground us in what is important, and remind us that we have roots. Deep and special roots. This past weekend was spent moving from one tradition to the next. I had a perma sense of comfort and excitement, anticipating each sacred tradition established by my family (both new and old). And you know what? Monday doesn’t seem so bad given all the traditions I have to look forward to in the next few weeks! We’d love to know what traditions you are rooted in?

Little Ornament-ville is something that Allison and my dad started years ago to be silly… who cares how old we get, that’s the point of traditions!}

Hosting a holiday party? We love this polaroid camera, these props, and this background for a DIY photo booth. We know we’ll be doing this for sure!
