I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving weekend!
It’s hard to believe that one of my all time favorite weekends of the year has come and gone. There is always something about the past several days that feels extra special to me… maybe it’s the traditions: going around the table at dinner saying what we’re thankful for, watching “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” after Thanksgiving dinner, take-out on Friday night, pulling out all the Christmas decor Saturday, and then prepping for the Christmas season. Whatever it is, it’s always a weekend that goes too fast.
And while some traditions had to change this year, I was reminded that despite everything going on around us, the things that matter most are the relationships I have with those I love. The things that matter most are the “non tangibles” that we shared going around the table during Thanksgiving dinner. And if everything tangible were to be taken away tomorrow, it’s a wonderful thing to know that I’d be ok because I have those people in my life to love, support, and encourage me….
