Weekend Recap || A New Beginning

Well, we officially moved into our new home this past weekend… one month past our initial target date… and five months after selling our condo and moving in with my parents. The day was much anticipated, and filled with excitement… while at the same time I was filled with so many emotions. As we nailed the in the last temporary curtain on the front windows (you should have seen the blinds that were there…. more to come on that later…) and began to say our goodbyes to my parents (our old roommates) I couldn’t help but get tears in my eyes. Blame it on pregnancy, or just the sheer fact that a girl will always need her parents, but at some level it was bittersweet saying goodbye. Just as It was with moving out of their house for college, and to get married (yes, I had to move back home after college for graduate school), transition signifies a new beginning and leaving behind a significant phase of your life…. and it’s okay to feel sadness as you leave it behind….

And so while I said my tearful ugly cry goodbye…. I also look forward to this amazing new chapter for our little family… and filling these walls with laughter, love, and many memories. I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead! xx

(Oliboli donuts for the family helping us move!)

(It was a loooooong day, but we got all our stuff into the house… miiight be in the garage, but still! My pullover, leggings, shoes)

(No food in the house, Urth cafe for some avocado toast…)

(Dig in sweet girl, dig in….)

(One of those makeup-less, stretchy pants, and oversized pullovers kind of weekend….)

(Back to picking up Trader Joe’s flowers on Sunday afternoons…. table runner)

(Cozy, albeit unfinished, corners…. frame, cactus pot)

(My little sous chef on our first night cooking in the new kitchen…. joggers, thermal, slippers)
__________

Made a delicious new dairy free chia seed pudding recipe, with a twist, and can’t wait to share later this week! I also bought this True Roots cookbook and can’t wait to try out a few of the recipes…. anyone else tried it??

My favorite wrap sweater is currently on major sale… I bought it two years ago in black and recently grabbed it in the tan color. It’s also a great top for any nursing mommas. I’m also loving this fringe cardigan sweater that is also on sale….

Calpack has some of the cutest backpacks, and I’m thinking about grabbing this tan one for my laptop.

A few new items I recently purchased include Commando leggings (I’ve heard amazing things) in the faux leather charcoal color… this gorgeous Free People eyelet top… and these RayBan sunglasses (they were a bday gift).

TULA recent released a new eye cooling + brightening balm that I’ve been using for the past several days… I’ve been really liking it so far. You can get 20% off with code SHANNON if you want to try it out too!

A few super cute, and very budget friendly, workout pieces that I’m currently loving include these light blue leggings, white pullover, grey zip-up, and blush leggings.

Urban Outfitters has some super cute, basic, arrivals like this thermal balloon sleeve top (love the wooden button details), button down, drawstring thermal top, peplum thermal top, and this teddy coat that looks amazingly soft and comfortable. This straw tote + bamboo handle bag is super cute for a warm weather getaway.

And, a few elevated basics I’m loving from Everlane right now include this silky white blouse… and the short sleeve version (which I already own, but love in the tan color for spring), as well as this fleece pullover (such a great price… I like the tan shade).
