(Travel with a toddler… luckily she had a quick nap on the way to the airport…. (tank, joggers)
After a week of TJ being out of town, this trip was much needed! We arrived in Cabo after a quick flight, and immediately headed down to the pool for some margaritas and a sunset. We noshed on tacos, sipped our refreshing libations, and had some fun building sand castles with little miss…..
And while the trip is certainly not like our previous, pre-child, Cabo days, it’s been fun creating new memories as a family in a place we love. Sure, there are the normal challenges that accompany traveling with a toddler (like the 2 hour afternoon nap… bye bye pool….), but reconnecting as a family is something I cherish so much. So, while we start our week in paradise, our focus is on disconnecting as much as possible, and making memories with our little family. Have a great week friends! xx
(Arrived in time for a sunset margarita and some fun in the sand….)
(Getting my serving of veggies in…. one of the best Bloody Marys at Floras Farm (dress))
(Quintessential Cabo- Coronas by the pool….)

I’m still doing Tone It Up while we’re here on vacation… it’s nice to be able to workout in the room and then head out for a little bit of breakfast and pool time. When we return home though, it’s back to clean eating (no more daily margaritas….)…. so I’ll be sharing a clean eating meal plan this coming Wednesday on the blog.
Before we left I was doing a lot of on-line perusing and couldn’t get over the new collection of Madewell items at Nordstrom. I’ve always been in love with the brand, but feel as though their everyday basics have really hit a whole new level. I’m currently loving this stripe tie back top (bought it), this beautiful ruffle wrap skirt (not a basic… but still….), stripe one shoulder ruffle top, denim ruffle off the shoulder top, this gorgeous eyelet flutter sleeve top (seriously!), aqua stripe sleeve top (so cute with cut-offs), stripe summer cardigan (we all need one for those al fresco dining nights!), blush and white stripe tie front top (which I wear all the time).
I also snagged a few great basic items for the warmer months. This super soft tank (comes in several color options) was perfect for traveling to cabo in, and I love the mauve color of this slouchy off the shoulder top (which I paired with these embroidered shorts). I love how this basic tee has the smallest little ruffle details (which I pair with shorts and jeans)….. I also just saw that one of my favorite white off the shoulder tops is restocked this season…. it pairs perfectly with pretty much anything, and I’m considering this rose colored off the shoulder sleeveless sweatshirt… for those days when getting dressed in real clothes just isn’t an option. This white sleeveless top is also a great basic to have around… layer it with my favorite light wash denim jacket and olive drawstring shorts. I’m also loving this tiered halter top, this peplum top (in olive), and this adorable chambray cami. I’m also kinda in love with this sleeveless perforated sweater (3 color options).
When we get back from Cabo we have some fun celebratory events over the next several weekends (birthdays, Mother’s Day, a brunch to celebrate my sister….) and so I was looking for one other dress to add to my closet. I love this white floral option, this white romper (so pretty!), and this feminine flowy floral dress. All are under $50 and gorgeous options for the spring and summer months.
