Something I’ve been really working, intentionally, on these past several months is being more present (it’s always an evolving journey for me)… and when I was taking a Peloton class the other day, the instructor (Emma) made a passing comment that “You can’t see the future so you might as well be here now….” and the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much “future thinking” takes me out of the present moment….
So with that simple statement in mind, I went into the weekend with intentions of being in the here and now. We had a late evening urgent care visit for Harper on Friday night (all is well, caught an early UTI) and instead of wishing we were somewhere else, we made the most of the situation… playing “I spy” in the waiting room… and then playing “Guess What I Am” (and animal game) once we ran out of things to spy…. and as I drove us home around 9pm I couldn’t help but be oddly grateful for that moment to just be present with her…..
And I tried to carry that “present” thinking into all aspects of the weekend… and will continue to try as we enter a new week. So, here’s to a week ahead of being present… because we can’t see, or even change, the future that might come. Have a great week everyone!

________
The mornings have been relatively mild temperature wise, so I’m looking at this windbreaker half zip as a lightweight option for my morning runs, as well as this lightweight top (I’ve always had success with Zella pieces). Also love the color of these sustainably made biker shorts + sports bra (in brownie).
We purchased these outdoor lanterns to hang in our trees and I’m so excited to add them to the ones we already have hanging there.
Love this casual tiered weekend dress and this fluted white skirt as casual dress options…
I haven’t been able to find a good bra that fits my small chest, and I just got this soft triangle bra… it’s great. Not underwire, but very comfortable and has the same shape as a bra. Highly recommend.
Bloomingdale’s is having a sale (20-30% off) and these pearl embellished slides (go down a 1/2 size), this tie dye set, and shirt jacket are all included.
