Weekend Recap || Nothing.

All last week we contemplated heading out of town for the weekend… Santa Barbara was top on our list. We came close to booking something Thursday evening, but ultimately decided we were too tired, and that staying home sounded like the better of the two options.

And we did nothing this weekend. Literally. With the exception of a breakfast out on Monday morning, we spent the majority of the past few days laying low, playing in the backyard, having a family movie night, BBQing, going on walks, and getting stuff done around the house (ie. cleaning out the garage and straightening up the backyard after some gusty wind storms). Real exciting things, haha….

It’s funny, because two years ago we would have made the reservation and headed out of town. But if there’s anything I’ve taken away from these past 2 years, it’s that sometimes slow is ok. I don’t always need to be going, going, going… and we don’t always need to have plans on our calendar. Rest is good. So, this weekend was just what we needed after 8 weeks of being on the go…

Now back to the hustle and bustle of the week! I hope you all have a great week ahead!

(The most beautiful sunrises this week on my morning runs….)

(Hung out with my sister and mom on Friday… black basics and an oversized cardigan (also this one) for the day’s outfit… tee, jeans, slides (SHANNON15 for 15% off))

(After the little ladies went down, we had a Saturday night date night at home… grilled some steaks and a had a couple adult libations (photo taken before they went down…) joggers, henley, cardigan, slippers)

(Loved the slow mornings… lots of football, playing, and just letting the day unfold….)

(And lots of outdoor walks… wore this outfit for Sunday’s… leggings, tee)

(Take-out pizza and an outdoor family movie night… the girls have been loving Ice Age lately…)

(Headed out for a family breakfast Monday morning… and cozied up since it was chilly outside… leggings, sweater coat, sweater, sneakers)

(Managed to squeeze in a run late Monday morning…and surprised myself with the fastest pace I’ve had in over 1.5 years…)
____________

I purchased this workout legging + top set and it’s so cute… great for cross training (not sure I’d wear it for a run though)…

A few of my go-to warm weather items are back in stock and wanted to share here in case you’re headed somewhere warm….

this pretty ruffle white top
convertible skirt (works as a skirt or strapless dress… I wear it as a coverup…)
this oversized linen cover-up
gauze cover-up pants (I own them in white and black)
and this two piece swimsuit (top and bottoms)

I love this white woven bag… considering it as an alternative to the larger tote I carry around all the time….

I’ve been looking for a pretty pink sweater, and I stumbled across this one yesterday (it was 25% off, maybe it still is today)… thinking it will be pretty for springtime…
