TJ + I headed out to New York this past Thursday, for a long weekend + to attend the launch of the Liketoknow.it book (which I feel honored to be featured among the pages). We spent most of the weekend doing touristy things… The Empire State Building being one of them…. and filling our bellies with delicious food (I mean, I could go to New York just to try all the amazing restaurants….). We enjoyed several full days kiddo-less, relished in not being on a schedule, and being able to take long naps after full days of walking. Yet, while we loved being away, connecting, and doing whatever we pleased…. it always feels great to come home…. and to be welcomed with big old hugs from little miss (who seems to have grown leaps and bounds in those few days we were gone)….
It was a gentle reminder that, as cliché as it sounds, there really is no place like home… the comforts, the faces, the voices, and the routine. So I go into the week ahead with a full heart. Hope you all have a wonderful week! xx

It was an indulgent weekend, that’s for sure… from late night cheesecake and delicious pizza dinners… so back to a regular eating + working out routine this week. I’m looking forward to making this spiralized carrot dish for dinner.
So many pretty fall florals out there right now…. I’m loving this pretty little cami, maxi dress, and this wrap tunic.
The weather was rainy and cool when we left NY (but 85 when we got home to CA) and it made me excited for those cool days where you can cuddle up inside. This fuzzy cardigan, off duty sweater hoodie (looks so soft), cozy pullover top, ruffle tie front pullover, and these slippers would be perfect for that kind of day….
I’m loving grey jeans for fall, particularly this pair + this pair!
A few fall workwear pieces that are super cute include this tie waist top, sweater jacket, eyelet top (love the black for fall), and this pleated button front top.
A few new Free People finds that I’m loving include this cute little dress for fall (would look great with booties, kicks, or OTK boots), beautiful mauve colored skirt, band tank, and this twisted cable sweater.
