It’s funny how so often what is new and uncertain ultimately winds up becoming the new “normal.” And while we might fight it, resist it, and not want it, we find ways to adapt + make the most of the situation. Which is how I’ve felt about the past several weeks. The first few weeks were foreign… no rush to be anywhere, no deadlines to meet, etc…. and it felt off. I’d still argue that life feels a little strange, but I will say that we seem to have fallen into a rhythm and routine given our current circumstances. And as I sat reflecting on that last night, I stumbled across this quote….
“In the rush to return to normal, use this time to consider which parts of normal are worth rushing back to.” – Dave Hollis
The jam packed schedules, the stressful work environment, that toxic relationship, that need to always be busy, it’s something different for all of us… but if we can take anything away from this period in our lives maybe it’s what we don’t want to take with us when we move forward….
Hope you all have a great week!
(Spent the latter part of the week enjoying the beautiful spring weather outside… pool, pants, suit, leopard suits, Camille’s hat)
(Kicked off the weekend listing three things we were grateful for and then saying a “cheers….” pants, top, cardigan, patio details)
(Relaxing Saturday morning,… can you spot me in the corner?? couch)
(Squeezed in a quick Peloton ride before an afternoon spent outside with the family…. biker shorts, crop)
(Several outfit changes for little miss + lots of outdoor time for a Saturday well spent…)
(A Skinny + Cadillac margarita for Saturday evening libations….)
(Breakfast Skillet + Chocolate Chip Pancakes for Sunday morning brunch…)
(Closed out the weekend with some backyard time + a little BBQ…. pants, sweater)

I’ve decided that since there aren’t any half marathons that are running right now, I’m simply going to run my own on May 1. This sports bra + cropped white tee were perfect for Friday’s long run….
The weather is supposed to be in the high 80’s this coming week, and I can’t wait to wear a few warm weather pieces I purchased for our Hawaii trip…. I’ll likely lounge in the backyard in this white one piece, cut-off high waisted shorts, these gauze-white pants, these linen elastic waist shorts, and this button-up eyelet coverup.
This white shorts + distressed sweatshirt longe set (in white) was 40% off last week so I snagged it… thinking it will be a good option as we get into the warmer months….
A few outdoor activities that we’ve been loving include this jumbo jenga set, bocce ball set, and this corn hole set.
The J. Crew coatigan I wear all the time is currently 40% off… easy to wear on work from home days too.
Sephora is having an insider sale, depending on your “tier” you can save anywhere from 10-20% (it’s easy to enroll to get the 10% off). My go-to items that are included are Playa Shampoo, Summer Fridays CC Serum, Tatcha Eye Brightener (concealer like…), Lawless eye shadow pallet, Ilia highlighter (great glow), and the RMS bronzer (great pigmentation). I’ve also been using the Ilia mascara and have been SO happy with it. Gives excellent length and volume.
