We’re big “The Office” fans over here, and one episode in particular always stands out to me. It’s the episode where Jim + Pam are getting married and they take “mental photographs” of the weekend; moments they always want to remember, more of less because they create a special feeling inside.

It’s something I’ve been trying to do over the past several months, and even more so that we have moved into the summer season. And while I might not remember every single “mental photo” that I take, what it does do is forces me to slow down, really be present, and soak in the current moment. There really is a big difference being in a moment + actually being present + living in the moment… and these “mental photos” have really made a significant difference for me… the internal feelings, the sounds, the sights, + the physical feelings that go into the moment seem to become much more alive and real, as opposed to fleeting and passing…

My goal for this summer season is to embrace the new slowness that has been brought upon us by appreciating all the tiny moments that might seem relatively insignificant in another summer season….

So, here’s to a week of creating “mental photos” friends! xx

A few basics I’m loving right now include this oversized tan tee, biker shorts + tee lounge set, basic tank (super lightweight), and this air scoop tee.

I was also on the hunt for a cute leopard dress that didn’t cost a million dollars… this leopard one is so so cute and versatile… could be dressed up but also easily worn as a cover-up or just a casual day.
