When the stay at home orders were issued, back in March, I was in the middle of training for a half marathon. Shortly thereafter, all of the CA half marathon events were postponed, or canceled, until much later dates. I decided to still proceed with my training, pick a random date, and just run my own half marathon through our neighborhood trails. Last Friday was that day I had selected, and it felt amazing when my NikeRun app let me know I had hit the 13.1 half marathon marker. It was a gentle reminder to me that just because “events” have been canceled, life hasn’t been. We get to choose to create our own meaning + happiness everyday. It might take a little more creativity now, but joy, love, happiness, and everything in between is still possible.

I saw that the Adidas Ultraboost sneakers that I’ve worn for the past year are 30% off. I ordered a new pair, since they go through so much wear and tear when training.

The Ray-ban sunglasses I’ve had for several years are also on sale… they’re so beautiful, and if you love the aviator style, these are great!

Everlane is having free 2-day shipping for Mother’s Day (today only)… a few items that I think would make great Mother’s Day gifts include this t-shirt dress, chino shorts, and this linen crew sweater.

A few super casual slides I have my eye on for summer include this Birkenstock looking blush pair, white crossover pair, + this pebbled leather crossover pair… they both look super comfortable + easy to slip on and off.

I haven’t made many purchases this past month, mainly because I was fairly stocked up on loungewear, but I had the itch to look at some non-lounge items and Abercrombie is having a sale and have some adorable items. Loving this linen jumpsuit (comes in petite sizes as well), satin cami bodysuit, linen tie front cami (cropped fit… I have a similar one from Aberbrombie last season and it’s adorable with jeans….), and these linen tassel shorts.

Banana Republic is having 50% off everything… I bought this satin dress, leopard dress (now under $50), and white utility jacket before the shelter in place and can’t wait to wear them again.
