Weekend Recap + Cyber Monday Deals

au fudge, itsy bitsy indulgences {Kicked off the Thanksgiving weekend dining at Au Fudge with a good friend + her little man (little miss too!}

Well, that long weekend sure went fast…. so I guess the saying, “Time flies when you’re having fun” is true. We did what most people do on Thanksgiving… gathered with family, ate until our pants needed to be unbuttoned (3 slices of pie… really??!), had a few libations, and watched “Christmas Vacation”…. twice (totally normal, right??)….

At our Thanksgiving dinner, it’s always tradition for my family to go around the table and share what they are thankful for. I typically can’t get through my first sentence without tearing up. Each year, for everyone, the list gets longer and more sentimental. Over the years, my personal list has drastically moved from a material focus, to a deeper, relational and emotional appreciation… which I believe is what happens as one gets older and experiences more of life. The gratitude of support and love from family and friends, the blessing of a little child, health…. you get the picture. While my goal is to be grateful throughout the entire year, sometimes I get distracted by frustrations and disappointments. So, I always appreciate this weekend, which is specifically set aside to give thanks…. and to eat some pretty DG food. Hope you all had a great one!!

Alright… that was an indulgent weekend. Starting fresh with my favorite chia seed pudding tomorrow morning. The temperatures have also dropped significantly, so I’m thinking I will be making this delicious shrimp ramen soup and orzo soup (loaded with veggies) sometime this week.

The sales over the weekend were pretty amazing, and they appear to be continuing into Cyber Monday. If you’re looking for some great basics, at an excellent price, I’ve rounded up a few favorites below….

I love a great poncho as an alternative to a cardigan…. they’re an easy throw on and go option. My favorite fringe one is currently on sale for $33 (featured here), and I also love this color block version. Another great everyday layering pieces is a vest. I’m eyeing this black NorthFace, but also think this longline version (in black) and this knit zip front option are great too! I’m always a sucker for a comfortable sweater and this lace up option looks incredibly comfortable… as does this cozy cardigan (I don’t think I would ever take it off!). This open front cardigan is incredibly soft (I own it and it comes in so many great color options), and this cashmere blend tunic is an excellent layering option. A few other basics, at a great price point, include this boucle knit top, mock neck tee (I own it in grey), and black cowl knit sweater.

A few fun options for the holiday, that are also on sale, include this faux fur vest and gorgeous flowy white tunic. Annnnd, if you’re looking for a fabulous piece of outerwear, I own this puffer jacket (with a faux fur hood) and love it. I also couldn’t resist this pom beanie!

Gap is also offering 50% off, with no exclusions. I personally think this boucle sweatshirt + grey legging combo is perfect for a casual day lounging at home. They also have the cutest pieces for little miss. I’m considering this fair isle knit dress, velvet empire dress, tulle skirt + legging duo, and these ruffle bum tights (so.cute.).

Anthropologie also has some amazing items, at 20% off (code STACKS), that I am placing on my Christmas list…. like this cable wrap front cardigan (hello gorgeous), open shoulder oversized top, gorgeous simple white cami, and this peplum ruffle top (well, I actually snagged it this weekend).

Madewell is currently offering 25% off! Some of my favorite items include these herringbone sneakers, lace-up hoodie sweater in winter white, and this zip front tartan print dress (perfect for the holidays!).
