{Exploring the canals (tank, jeans, chambray top, hat, sandals)}

As I mentioned last week, we enjoyed exploring locally so much, that we committed to doing it more frequently. So, when Friday evening rolled around, and we were relaxing on the couch and sipping a little bubbly, we threw out a few ideas. Malibu was one of them. Venice was another. We had stopped through Venice on our way home from a recent road trip, but didn’t have much time to explore the canals. We went to bed that evening with a game plan to head up there early in the morning. Things were a little thrown off when our little miss decided to wake up earlier than planned, but we decided to go with the flow, alter our schedule, and leave a little later than anticipated. I’m so happy we did.

If there is anything I’ve learned as a new mom, it’s that flexibility is key. We may have plans, but they may not go perfectly. The more I learn to live and let be, the happier I am, and the better mom I can be. My hope is that one day, she too, will find a passion for exploring as much as I do! Here’s to a week of new adventures (I’m sure there will be many over here!).

So, I know that I wrote in my first wellness Wednesday post that I was starting BBG… and I’ve completed a few workouts and am loving it. My legs were sore for three days after! I’ve been documenting it over on snapchat (shanpulsiferibi) so follow along if you’re doing it too! I’m working on a tasty treat for this Wednesday’s post.

We have a few fun trips planned in the upcoming months (Napa, Hawaii, Palm Springs…) so I’ve been eyeing a few pieces here and there in anticipation. Bloomingdale’s is currently having their Friends and Family sale where everything is 25% off and free shipping. I’m loving this stripe lace up top, mesh lace top, and striped off the shoulder dress. I have also already posted this falling leaves dress and top before, but with the sale I can’t resist!

I’m loving this wrap front black dress and would pair it with these gold sandals. I’ve been tempted to purchase a chambray jumpsuit…. not sure how it would look on my short legs though! A few favorites for Hawaii include this orange dress, black cover-up romper, fringe crochet tank, studded sandals (which were a favorite last year too!), and this crochet off the shoulder top (currently on sale!). For travel days, I love to go casual and am thinking this romper (comes in four colors!), when paired with a denim jacket, would be uber comfortable!
