Weekend Recap

This was a weekend for the books. On Friday afternoon we headed up to one of our favorite spots in California, Los Olivos and Santa Barbara, as a family of three, and the weekend did not disappoint. We hadn’t been back to the area since I found out I was pregnant, and returning felt so nice. While our weekend isn’t quite over yet (we aren’t returning until tomorrow) it was one of learning experiences and reconnecting. A chance for TJ and I to reminisce about fun times just the two of us had in years past, and a time to create memories as a family. And while there were fussy times and moments where we were quickly reminded that we were not alone (like last night at dinner!), this quote came to mind to encapsulate the weekend thus far:

“Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” ~ Iman

I know I will someday look back on all the moments from this trip and they will be fond memories.

I’ll be sharing more of our adventures later this week!

Last week marked 6 week since I gave birth to Harper, which meant I could work out again. So, I’ll be back to posting fitness tips and favorites next week!

Before we left for our trip, I picked up a few new pieces… and had my eye on a few items too. I snagged these spring perfect sandals and can’t wait to wear them this week when temps hit the mid 80’s. I’m loving this olive green perforated sweater (paired with those sandals) for the warmer spring days and cooler evening. These dainty earrings make the perfect addition to any outfit. Every spring, I start to eyeball dresses (as if I need anymore)… I love this season’s version on last year’s favorite flowy dress (seen here), this off the shoulder number, the cutest little white dress, and a classic blush leather skirt.

My little wish-list for Harper this week includes this adorable blue and white dress, an embroidered chambray shirt, and this adorable bathing suit for our Hawaii trip!
