Weekend Recap

The Ritz Carlton Holiday Tea, itsy bitsy indulgences {Holiday Tea at The Ritz with my momma… but first a little champagne and Martinelli’s}

When Thursday morning came, the first full day of my maternity leave, I was a little uncertain as to if I would enjoy this “taking time off from work” thing. By mid-day Thursday I had concluded that I enjoyed it. Like, really enjoyed it. These past few days have been filled with a lot of excitement, from a holiday tea with my mom to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Harper, the last baby-moon getaway with TJ to Santa Barbara, and a Sunday funday at The Ducks game with the family… its been a weekend full of activity. Not without some small scares here and there though. I experienced my first contractions (which scared me to the point that I called my doctor at 10pm Saturday evening…) which made the reality of the fact that I have no control over when she arrives become even more real. Therefore, as we prepare to embark on this week ahead I have a lot to cross off of the to-do list. Hope you all have a great one!

El Encanto Santa Barbara, itsy bitsy indulgences {Our little home away from home at The Belmond El Encanto for the weekend}

lucky penny santa barbara, itsy bitsy indulgences {Carb craving satisfied with this veggie sandwich- (jeans, scarf, shoes)}

jennines santa barbara, itsy bitsy indulgences {Saturday morning at Jeannine’s… opted for the healthy omlet with a side of lemon poppyseed greek yogurt pancakes}

santa barbara sunset, itsy bitsy indulgences {Enjoying the sunset}

I love when I find arm movements to incorporate into my workout… as I know I will need strong arms to carry Harper around. This one is for the shoulders… which is always a good area to define!

We enjoyed anther great weekend in Santa Barbara… I’ll share more throughout the week… but if you’re looking for the best spots to visit, check out the travel guide to Santa Barbara I did a while back.

It’s the holidays, a time of giving to others. I have a few gift guides planned for later this week, but in the meantime, check out these favorites for stocking stuffers (all under $50!). These slippers are my absolute favorite, come in 3 colors, and would fit perfectly in the shape of a stocking. A pair of black and white work-out pants roll up perfectly into the foot of a stocking for any fitness lover. Loving this mug as a sweet little message to your special someone. As a huge fan of Kiehl’s for many years, this gift set is a great surprise in a beauty lover’s stocking. And who wouldn’t love a leopard print scarf, cute pompom beanie, and initial stud earrings?
