{Saturday morning hike in the Hollywood Hills)
I’ve always said that any weekend involving minimal make-up, no watch, good food, and quality time with those you love is an exceptional one. This past weekend was just that. We spent the day hiking in LA on Saturday (more to come on that later this week), roasting s’mores that evening, and then the rest of the weekend involved a whole lot of pool time, family time, delicious food, and laughs. Good nights of sleep, challenging workouts, and feeling rejuvenated for the (short) week ahead was just what the weekend entailed. I say all of that while we prepare to embark upon a major bathroom remodel (yay! and “oh my gosh what are we getting ourselves into….” all at once) and last minute trip to Chicago at the end of the week. So cheers to relaxing weekends and whirlwind weeks! Isn’t that what life is made of??

While we enjoyed great workouts, we also indulge in some pretty tempting sweets (think a dairy free, gluten free cheesecake… coming to the blog next week) so it’s back on track for the week. Check out the Women’s Health Weekend Challenge if you’re looking to reset today 🙂
I loved this article on the “rules” fit women live by. Also, if you liked last week’s post on super bowls, be sure to check out this handy little guide on how to make them in all different varieties! I thought it was so cool when I stumbled upon it.
Since the weather in Chicago is supposed to be fall-ish, I’ve decided to make a few quick purchases for the trip. Loving this long sleeve knit dress, a chic grey sweater dress, a boucle fringe cardigan in camel, and this luxurious (yet perfectly priced) blanket scarf.
