Weekend Recap

“I can’t decide if I need a hug, 6 shots, or 2 weeks of sleep.”

I saw this quote earlier in the week and by Friday I knew it was 100% applicable to my week. Since 6 shots is completely out of the question (and something I have not done since my college days…), I decided that a hug, a little rest and relaxation, and a weekend getaway to The Parker Palm Springs was the elixir I needed. So, Thursday morning the hotel was booked, and off we went early Saturday morning. While the temps were scorching, the pool was cool and the “no agenda” weekend was perfectly refreshing. Travel just has that affect on me. A simple weekend getaway can rejuvenate, reinvigorate, and inspire me for the week ahead. I meet interesting people, see new places (or see new things at old places), and reconnect with those I love. It’s good for the soul and an indulgence I will always encourage. Have a great week ahead everyone!

sweet treats, itsy bitsy indulgences {Some new favorite, guilt-free, sweet treats. You must try the vanilla Pressed Juice… and the gluten free/vegan Brownie Crisps… a serious 10!.. oh and the cookie dough!}

Weekend getaways always bring about the slightly more indulgent side of me… that’s why I love getting back into the swing of things on Mondays. Even though I’m supposed to be staying off my back… I’m still planning on trying this move (and closely monitoring how I feel) from Women’s Health Weekend Challenge to keep the booty in shape!

With upcoming trips to places that might have relatively cooler weather, I’m already planning out pieces to bring (cooler fall weather gets me a little too excited). I’m loving this faux suede shift dress, these black lace up flats , a perfect sweater and skirt combo, a gorgeous white tunic blouse, and these leopard print booties.
