As we inch closer and closer to the holidays, I feel myself getting cheerier and cheerier (this excludes Mondays, of course…not much that can make me cheery on a Monday). I honestly don’t know what it is about this time of year that just makes people warmer, more patient, and all around friendlier…maybe it’s the twinkly lights, the fireplaces, the spirit of giving…. I’m not too sure. Be what it may, I welcome the cheer, mostly by doing lots of holiday-ish things, i.e. Christmas shopping (aka shopping with an adjective in front of it…which makes it more acceptable), baking cookies, cuddling up with a soft blanket, decorating the tree, listening to nonstop Christmas music, and pretending that I live in an area with seasons. This weekend was just that!
