{Pretty blooms, crisp white wine, The Ropes (c/o) bracelet, and a favorite pair of boyfriend jeans to start the weekend}
It was really too hot to do anything at all this weekend. I started the weekend ambitiously by planning a 26 mile bike ride for Saturday morning. Saturday came, it was 90 degrees by 9 am, and so the bike ride was cut short at 12 miles. From then on, I resigned myself to being okay with staying inside and not stepping foot outside, unless necessary. So, I logically spent my time at the mall, the yogurt shop, and restaurants.
What I was able to appreciate this sweltering weekend were all the small moments. A 40 minute, long overdue, catch up phone call with a dear friend (this occurred en route to the yogurt shop from the mall…), frozen yogurt from the comforts of my air conditioned couch (with old sweat pants on), a morning walk with my mom at the beach (okay, I went outside one more time…), a nice Sunday evening dinner with TJ, and a Bears win on Sunday night football. And those are the moments I will take with me as we embark on another week 🙂
{It was a good mail day AND mall day! Can’t wait to wear this dress and this hat!}
