I am officially convinced (well, I’ve known this for years) that if the weather in Southern California doesn’t fall between 65-85 degrees… and is anything other than sunny, light showers or breezes, we don’t know what to do. And given that we’ve had temperatures in the 100 degree range for the past 6 days, most obligations we had for the past week + weekend were canceled. Which meant no soccer practice and/or games, essentially giving us an unexpected free weekend.
So we relished in having no agenda. Leisurely breakfasts, family lunches, an afternoon swimming at a friend’s house, breakfast at a new spot, and then a Sunday family pool day to beat the heat.
And as we start a new week ahead, and welcome a near 30 degree drop in temps, the hustle and bustle will return… which will leave us grateful for the unexpected weekend we had.
With that, I hope everyone had a wonderful day and has a great week ahead!

Quince is one of my favorite spots for luxuriously and sustainably made pieces at great prices. I have this striped cotton sweater (looks just like to Jenni Kayne Chloe sweater) as well as this cotton fisherman sweater, and they’re great for summer, under $50. I sized up two sizes in the fisherman for a looser fit, and one in the striped sweater. This cotton cable-knit cardigan is also under $70 and the perfect oversized fit.
Vuori just launched some favorites in new colors (they have the best colors this season). These performance joggers in the ecru heather are so good (a perfect color to go with anything), the super soft restore half zip hoodie, which I own in grey, is available in the goldenrod color (which I love), the halo essential wide leg pants are so comfortable and I love them in the ecru heather… so chic with this new fitted cardigan. The Canyon Insulated Jacket was restocked in my favorite bone color (I got this last year and wore it so much). And I don’t own this sweater, but it looks so cozy!
GAP is having 30% off and I bought this sweatshirt and sweatpant combo over LDW. They arrived Friday and they’re so soft and comfortable (set for around $70)… I bought the camel and dark green color (my current favorite haha), and the sweatpants in petite are very short gal friendly.
Love these designer inspired western boots.
Loving these cute fall pieces under $150… cuffed wide leg jeans, merino polo sweater, cotton stretch jersey pants + tank, and this beautiful black tie front top (cute for a date night).
