Weekend Recap

I always love this little slice of time in the summer season. The weekend before the 4th of July, which leads to a slower work week, and then the festivities of the 4th. For us, it just feels quintessentially summer. Lots of hours spent poolside, good food, family time, and pre-fireworks being tested in the evenings.

So this past weekend was a reflection of just that.

And as we head into a new, short, week ahead I hope it’s a good one for everyone. I have one more post planned for this week, styling one of my favorite summer tanks 8 ways, and then I’ll be signing off for the majority of July.

With that, I hope everyone has a great day!
_____

(A sunny summer Friday)

(A delicious lunch to kick off the weekend… shorts, tank, sandals, sweater)

(Friday bubbly tasting with my sister and BIL…)

(The sweet potato fries at Flower Child are 10/10)

(A Sunday afternoon well spent…)

_____

Madewell is having an extra 30% off sale items… I own this denim vest and this denim skirt, both of which are so great for the summer. The skirt runs a bit large and I would recommend sizing down.
I also love this large raffia bag (looks beautiful for summer) and this white embroidered tank dress.

We’re leaving for Europe this Friday and I’ve pretty much laid out everything that I’ll be packing. A few notable items….
I’ll be traveling in these amazing wide legged pants, sweatshirt, tank, and these red sneakers. Since the first 24 hours of our trip will be in London, where temps will be in the mid 60’s, these pieces will easily work for a couple of hours of sightseeing as well.
I’m taking along this explorer drop waist black dress (I brought it last year and it’s amazing), white poplin skirt (I own this in brown as well and it’s amazing), black maxi skirt, red dress, white t-shirt dress, two toned dress, and this satin maxi (for a couple of fancier dinners).
The goal is for the skirts to be interchangeable with this strapless top, basic tank, and this splurge worthy crochet top (I stalked this for a restock in my size for weeks… I plan on wearing it several times to get my monies worth haha). That will cover me for daytime sightseeing as well as evenings out by swapping out sneakers and sandals for these low heel sandals and these drop statement earrings and textured round earrings.
