As we were driving to school this morning, it occurred to all of us that we only have two more Mondays left in the school year. It was met with a mix of emotions… one sad to be leaving the preschool she’s known and loved for two years, but excitement to enter into the school where big sister is… another nervous to be saying goodbye to her “favorite teacher ever” as she moves into a new grade… and then excitement for the summer season ahead and all that’s to come.

As I mentioned in May’s capsule post, I’m truly baffled at how we’re already in the fifth month of the year. I was on a call this morning where people kept talking about May, and in my mind, May is next month (I needed to quickly refocus, haha).

Given that, I feel as if I’m in a constant battle between staying present and not wanting time to pass, and forward thinking and anticipation for the summer ahead. So I guess that’s the fine balance of life: Constantly wondering where time went and trying to stay as present as possible in the moment we’re experiencing.

I ended up buying this denim vest I mentioned in last week’s post, and it arrived last week… it’s so cute and comfortable, especially when paired with these jeans.
